Dataset description

ENC (Electronic Navigational Charts) is the international term for official electronic nautical charts. In Norway, it is the Norwegian Mapping Authority, and produces and updates the country’s official electronic nautical charts (ENCs). An ENC is a vector map that contains all the information necessary for safe sailing. These electronic nautical charts are produced according to the International Hydrographic Organisation (IHO) standard for the exchange of digital nautical information, S57.
