The investigation area (UG) was mapped in late summer 2011. It covers the south-eastern slopes of the Brettspitz and extends from the disk farmer’s shake in the west to the Kalktal in the east. In the south, the area extends to the Enns. The northern border represents the ridge to the top of the board. Thus, the mapping to the east follows the areas of the Hochkar, which were mapped in summer 2009. The length extension in the NW-SE direction is about 1.3 km, the width (NE/SW) is about 1.7 km. The orographically deepest point lies on the Enns at 490 m above sea level, the highest point with 1.460 m on the Nordostein slopes into the Scheibenbauernkar below the Brettspitz. Thus, the focus of the UG lies in the montane height level, which is divided into low, medium and high-mountain heights (600-800 m, 800-1.200 m and 1,200-1.450 m respectively) and extends small-scale into the submontane below or the above low subalpine height level (cf. KILIAN et al. 1994).
