Using a combination of vegetation ecological surveys and the forest inventory methodology, the abiotic environmental factor wind in the study areas Tamischbachturm and Krapfalm as well as the biotic factor bark beetle in the Hochsteg area were documented. Using the data obtained, patterns of vegetation societies were identified and placed in a spatial and temporal context with the respective disturbance regimes.
Based on a theoretical concept, an attempt was made to describe the disturbance dynamics of a wind-edge turf, a windthrow area and a bark beetle area by means of a vegetation-ecological terrain survey in combination with UAV aerial photographs and a comprehensive analysis of the collected data. The patterns of the vegetation communities occurring in the system can be represented in a spatial and temporal context with the disturbance regime.
