Ecosystem analysis for the golden eagle in the planning area of the Gesäuse National Park

This work is carried out on behalf of the Gesäuse National Park in Styria and is based on the study by HÖLSCHER 2005. The aim is to gain further knowledge about the golden eagle habitat in the planning area of the Gesäuse National Park and to contribute to answering the following questions: — What does the natural environment look like on the basis of selected factors in the high alpine Gesäuse National Park? — What are the living conditions for the pairs of golden eagles located there? — Of what kind and where is the soil-bound, anthropogenic influence in the study area? Based on a geographical approach, an analysis of selected environmental parameters is carried out for the study area using the Geographic Information System (GIS). For the qualitative evaluation of these factors, the habitat claims of the golden eagle are then used as an evaluation criterion.
