Dataset description

Roads and paths are indispensable lifelines for the extensive management of the mountainous areas of Vorarlberg. Two thirds of Vorarlberg’s typical cultural landscape is above 1 000 m above sea level. About a quarter of the population lives in rural areas, i.e. away from the conurbations of Rheintal and Walgau. The rural road network (good trails) with a total length of about 1 800 km opens up these mountain areas of Vorarlberg.
