Habitat rating for aerial and birch deer in Gesäuse National Park

A habitat assessment for Birkwild (Zirbengarten) and for Auer and Birkwild (Gscheideggkogel) was carried out as a basis for the national park’s planning and guidance. A mapping of the use of ski tours during the course of the Winters is intended to show possible disturbing factors and thus impairments in the habitat use of chicken birds. The mapping and habitat assessments provide the basis for joint work discussions with all stakeholders to find solutions for ski touring that meet the habitat requirements of aerial and birch deer.
