Kappazunder is an innovative data source of the City of Vienna, which is a digital image of public space.
The geodata were collected in the course of a vehicle-based mobile mapping campaign on 8.7.2020 and contain geodetic image data, point clouds, the associated navigation information (trajectory) and spatial orientations. Geodetic means that the location of the geodata is largely georeferenced with a deviation to the reference of less than 10 centimeters. The image data was collected while driving from a survey car with a lateral image distance of around three meters. The image data was anonymised according to the current state of the art (persons and license plates). In addition to the images, the laser scanning system scanned the environment with a range of up to 50 meters with an accuracy of a few centimeters. The spatial data refer to a trajectory, which was determined by a high-frequency measurement with an inertial unit (acceleration sensors).
The Kappazunder test record is submitted in the open data interface Kappazunder.
Note: By the way, Kappazunder is deliberately written with Double P to recognise the photogrammetric angle of Kappa.
