MIGs (Industrial Main Groups) Description: The main industrial groups are categories of the European Union’s Compulsory Classification of Economic Activities (NACE), known under the English abbreviation MIGs (Main Industrial Groupings). This classification is used for short-term statistics and is based on the statistical classification of economic activities in the European Community (NACE). The MIGs classification distinguishes economic activities according to whether they result from intermediate goods, capital goods, durable goods, consumer goods or energy.
