The Hohe Tauern National Park has been carrying out biodiversity days every year since 2007. These events are attended by experts from different disciplines (valves, moss, flowering plants, insects, etc.) to study a demarcated area within 2 days (or nights) intensively for the occurrence of species. The scientific evidence is fed into the biodiversity database of the Hohe Tauern National Park and is also localised by GIS.
