From 11 to 13 July 2008, the second “National Park Hohe Tauern Day of Biodiversity” took place in the Wildgerlostal (Salzburg). At this event, 54 experts were able to demonstrate more than 1,820 species of animals, plants and fungi (as well as domestic taxa). Even new discoveries of species such as a butterfly with the sounding name Engadine Bear have been found.
