Reincarnation Dogfish (Umbra krameri W.) Hanság — Burgenland — Final report

The aim of the project was to re-introduce the dogfish (Umbra krameri), one in the Burgenland extinct small fish species, in suitable waters in the Hanság. This should the gene pool of this internationally endangered species is secured. This goal has been achieved by the release of 661 dog fish and the evidence of natu & 776; Release waters reached (see endgu & 776;List of fish species and monitoring results). It should also promote awareness raising on the promotion of sustainable fisheries management in national parks and create an aquatic show in the two NPs to improve information and education.
