Dataset description

The measurement data (air temperature, global radiation and precipitation) of a total of 6 stations (Weidendom, Tamischbachturm, Gscheidegg, Schröckalm, Waag and Scheuchegg) were used for the online & 8208 modelling of the printing printer development in the area of the Gesäuse National Park. The stations cover an altitude range from 590 m (Weidendom) to 1 780 m (Gscheidegg). The stations Weidendom, Schröckalm, Gscheidegg and Waag measure air temperature, radiation and precipitation. The Tamischbachturm station, on the other hand, does not measure precipitation. The station Scheuchegg only measures the air temperature. The measured values (hourly mean values) were automatically transmitted to the Institute’s FTP & 8208 server in the period from 1 April to 31 October via GPRS modem. Data failures due to missing transmission and/or station failure were essentially low except for Schröckalm station. Missing weather data (aggregated daily values) and unplausible data could be replaced by regression with adjacent stations during the current season or after the end of the measurement period. The Waag and Scheuchegg stations did not provide corresponding measurement data until 12.7.2013. For the period from 1.4. to 11.7.2013 the necessary weather data for the modelling were recorded (daily minimum. Daily maximum and daily average of the air temperature as well as daily sum of global radiation) of these two stations calculated using linear regressions with the stations Weidendom (for the station Waag) and Gscheidegg (for the station Scheuchegg). For the missing irradiation measurements of the station Scheuchegg, the measured values of the neighboring station Waag were used.
