In 2015, the occurrence of the alpine beetle (Rosalia alpina) in subareas of Natura 2000 National Park Gesäuse (Austria, Styria) was investigated and the state of the population compared with the results of 2004 and 2005. A total of 16 individuals were identified in all three places with already known subpopulations of Imagine. The range of beetles has increased over the last ten years. For Rosalia alpina, the conservation status in the national park is therefore assessed as good according to the criteria of Binner & Bussler (2006).
