Alien species or neobiota are plants, fungi, animals and microorganisms that pass through humans into regions that they cannot reach by their own power. Some of these species may permanently reproduce (establish) in the new areas, and some, the so-called Invasive Alien Species (IAS), may endanger or adversely affect native biodiversity and associated ecosystem services. The spatial information represents the distribution in Austria for the current reporting period.
