Dataset description

The Austrian Radon Potential Map was created on the basis of 20,000 radon measurements in residential buildings and provides information on where in Austria increased radon concentrations in buildings have to be expected. The radon potential class is searched at municipal level (municipal potential). There is an increased radon potential in about 500 municipalities. Depending on the radon potential, recommendations for existing buildings as well as new buildings and general renovations should be considered.
