Protected areas (protected zones) are protected zones (as designated areas) for drinking water resources (wells and sources) in decisions issued by the Water Authority.
The legally binding boundaries of the protected zones can only be seen in the Water Book!
Closed areas are defined zones for the protection of water resources under state ordinances.
The legally binding limits of the closed areas can be found in the regulations!
The dataset includes, for example, projected protected and closed areas

ANLAGENNAM (String) = name of the protected or closed area in the water information system Vorarlberg

Type code (string)
ANLAGENSUB (string) = identification of the protection zones according to their degree of protection: Protection zones 1, 2, 2a, 2b or 3 or
Identification of closed areas in accordance with their ordinance in accordance with the Water Law Act (§34 or §35)
SUBTYPCODE (string)
Occupation (string) = status of the protected or closed area:
‘Plant exists’ = protected area is authorised or the closed area is issued in a regulation:
“projected” = Protected area or protected area is in the planning phase (no authorisation or regulation!)
Street (string) = address of the plant
Postcode (Number) = Postal code
Municipality (String) = Municipality in which the facility is located
WISONLINE (URL) = URL to the WIS extract (only available in the Landesportal!)
WIS_ID (String)= unique identifier of the system in the water information system Vorarlberg
Is reported for INSPIRE.
