This report presents the national gross nitrogen balance (GNB) including net nitrogen balance and phosphorus balance (PB) according to the EUROSTAT/OECD Manual for the years 2000 to 2017. The data bases have been updated and compared with those of the GHG inventory, agriculture sector. The results show that the net nitrogen surplus per hectare of utilised agricultural area tends to decline slightly over the period 2000-2017, while the gross nitrogen surplus is stable to slightly increasing. In the last five years (2013-2017), the latter has stabilised by an annual average of around 40 kg N/ha/year. The phosphorus surplus over the last five years (2013-2017) is on average 0.6 kg P/ha/year and tends to decrease over the years 2000-2017.
