Dataset description

In this study, the hydrobioid fauna (“source snails”) of the Kalkalpen National Park is investigated. These tiny Snails are difficult to determine, but their examination is particularly desirable because several species are threatened and important for the assessment of water quality. The snails of 39 selected sources were used with classical methods (shell morphology and in a few cases Genital atoms) and DNA barcoding
