Documentation of measurement network planning

Air quality points shall be located at appropriate locations to provide representative and robust air quality assessment data. The selection of sites shall take into account, first and foremost, the objective of the measurement, the size of the area under investigation, the pressure on the population, the local and supra-regional emissions situation, and above all. The Measurement Concept Ordinance on the Immissionsschutzgesetz-Luft sets out extensive criteria to be implemented by measurement operators in the federal states. Likewise, the measurement network planning and the basics of the location selection must be documented and deviations from the criteria laid down by law must be justified. This report summarises for the first time the transmitted data and information on location selection throughout Austria
