Dataset description
As part of the activities of the working group Forum Sound, the EQA “Street Noise Measurement” was carried out in 2016. The task was to measure the energy equivalent continuous sound level at a predetermined measuring point at the B20. From the measurement results, the noise indices Lday, Levening, Lnight and Lden were to be calculated in accordance with environmental noise legislation. The vehicle categories and traffic strengths required for this calculation were given to the participants during the day, evening and night time. The results of all 23 participating testing centres were statistically evaluated. The ‘z-score’ (standardised deviation to the target value) has been determined for each laboratory for the evaluation of the EQD data. Since its foundation in 1994, Forum Schall regularly carries out inter-laboratory tests and comparative measurements.
