Forum Sound Ring Test 2008

In this report of the Federal Environment Agency, calculations of noise emission are compared with national and international methods. Eleven inspection bodies took part in the comparative calculation. Both road traffic noise and noise emanating from an interior of a building were considered. In addition, immission measurements were also carried out. The EQAS shows that test routines are required for emission modelling and exact instructions for determining the sound emission. For environmental noise mapping, changes to the calculation settings currently defined in the rules are proposed. With regard to the measured immissions, it has been shown that the Austrian calculation methods are equivalent to the EU interim methods.
