Guidance on the implementation of the PRTR reporting obligation

Since 2008, there has been an annual PRTR reporting obligation for certain industrial companies. The guide helps Austrian companies and authorities to comply with their reporting and testing requirements for the European Pollutant Emission Register PRTR (European Pollutant Emission Register) and is designed to complement the European Commission’s guidance document. In addition to a compilation of PRTR reporting obligations and legal bases, the report contains the additional amendments and additions to the previous EPER reporting obligation. For example, more industrial activities and more pollutants are subject to reporting. In addition, possible calculation methods are proposed, which can be used if no measurements can be carried out or no measurement results are available.
