The list offered includes non-monetary financial institutions (MFIs) resident in Austria. The term ‘monetary financial institution’ is defined in the ECB Regulation on the consolidated balance sheet of the monetary financial institutions sector (ECB 2001/13) and covers credit institutions under Community law, as well as all other financial institutions whose economic activity consists of receiving deposits and/or substitutes of deposits in the narrower sense from entities other than monetary financial institutions and granting loans for their own account and/or investing in securities. Non- MFIs are credit institutions under BWG that are not MFIs.
