Official Immission Measuring Network 2012-2016

In accordance with the Quality Target Ordinance on Ecology Surface Waters (BGBl. II No 99/2010, as amended), the general conditions of the physico-chemical quality components are assessed on the basis of the parameters temperature, biological oxygen demand (oxygen consumption — BOD5), dissolved organic carbon (DOC), oxygen saturation (O2 %), pH, orthophosphate (PO4-P), nitrate (NO3-N) and chloride. The results of sampling in the years 2012 to 2016 from Upper Austrian rivers — sampling points of the Official Immission Measurement Network (AIM) — are reported. The assessment is carried out via an assignment to one of the 5 status classes: very good, good, moderate, unsatisfactory, bad; The specified environmental objective is to achieve or maintain at least the state class well.
