ÖNACE (Austrian classification of economic activities) Description: ÖNACE is the Austrian version of NACE. In order to reflect the specificities of the Austrian economy more adequately, another hierarchical level was introduced, which of the national subclasses was introduced. However, NACE and ÖNACE are completely identical up to the 4-digit level. The current version is ÖNACE 2008, which replaced ÖNACE 2003 on 1 January 2008.
