Dataset description

Poland NPP, technical opinion on the information sheet of the first Polish nuclear power plant (EIA-Scoping document) in the context of the environmental impact assessment. In 2009, the Polish Government decided to develop the nuclear energy programme for Poland. The Polish power generation company PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. was commissioned to build and operate the first Polish nuclear power plant. Within PGE S.A., PGE EJ1 Sp. z.o.o. is the sub-company responsible for the realisation of the ongoing project activities, supported by the Nuclear Energy Department of PGE S.A. In January 2014, the Polish Council of Ministers adopted the decision on the adoption of the Polish Nuclear Energy Programme (PPEJ); thus, the plan for the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Poland was confirmed and PGE S.A. was designated as the developer of this project.
