Residual water routes are sections in watercourses where, due to human uses (mainly hydropower use, but also water discharges for other purposes), the water flow is reduced compared to the natural state, because a discharge is usually carried out at a transverse structure (cross element, see above). This has more or less negative effects on the ecological status of the river, depending on the intensity of use (may go to total discharge). The data state is in line with the 2015 National Water Management Plan (NGP) and will be updated following the publication of the NGP 2021.
