Dataset description

The Biological Assessment Map (BWK) is a uniform inventory and evaluation of the entire Flemish territory on the basis of a set of mapping units representing pre-vegetations, land use and small landscape elements (line and point-shaped elements).The presence of important fauna elements has also been taken into account.The inventories for this version of the Biological Assessment Map were carried out in the period 1978-1997. The maps have been digitised to form a vector polygon dataset for Flanders.
