This map shows the distribution of the facilities in a ribbon in Flanders. For the ribbons, the algorithmically generated ribbons were used as described in the technical report: Vermeiren Karolien, Poelmans Lien, Pisman Ann, Vanacker Stijn, Willems Peter and Guy Engelen (2018), Kernen, ribbons, dispersed buildings in Flanders. Morphological classification of buildings in Flanders, study carried out on behalf of the Flemish Planning Bureau for Environment. The information on the facilities was derived from the results of the research study: Verachtert, E., I. Mayeres, L. Poelmans, M. Van der Meulen, M. Vanhulsel, G. Engelen (2016), development opportunities based on junction value and proximity facilities. This study was carried out by VITO on behalf of the Department of Space Flanders and published on 29-02-2016.
