Dataset description

An informal stratigraphy of a bore, like a formal stratigraphy, is a lithostratigraphic interpretation of a (coded) lithological description by in-depth interval. The difference with the formal stratigraphy is that the informal stratigraphy should not meet a generally accepted standard. The informal stratigraphy is a place in DOV to reflect old interpretations or interpretations that do not comply with the current stratigraphic classification. The informal stratigraphy may also contain a detailed description of a lithostratigraphic unit.
