In DOV, the results of probe rings are made available. When performing the probe, a probe point with cone is pressed statically into the ground by means of tubes. Continuously or at certain depth intervals, the resistance at the cone point, local friction resistance and/or total intrusion resistance is measured. If necessary, the water voltage in the ground around the cone can be measured with a water voltage meter during the probe. The pressure of the probe tubes at depth is done with an impression device. The necessary reaction for the compression of the tubes is provided by an anchorage and/or by the weight of the probe wagon. The total impression capacity ranges from 25 kN to 250 kN, depending on device and setup mode.
