Dataset description

Strategic noise map for the city of Ghent on rail traffic according to RL 2002/49/EC. The reference year of this data is 2016. The sound card indicates how much noise the environment is exposed. The noise is expressed in the parameter Lnight. The Lnight level is the annual average noise level during the night (23-07h) and is one of the sound indicators that be representative of possible nighttime sleep disturbance. These noise maps are updated every 5 years.
