Number of illegal cigarettes seized by AGD & A

This table shows, by calendar year, the number of illegal cigarettes seized by AGD & A according to the type of offence. Cheap Whites: Cheap cigarettes that are (usually) produced legally in one country but then sold illegally in large numbers in another country where they do not have a legal market. They are not represented by a trade mark proprietor in Belgium. Cigarettes of brands: cigarettes legally produced and registered in Belgium by the owner/producer of the brand. These cigarettes can be seized when they are illegally imported from a third country into the EU (without paying import duties, VAT, excise duties).
