Petroleum mainly covers products derived from the refining of crude oil. In general, a distinction is made between light distillates (petrol), medium-heavy distillates (gasoil, lamp oil, kerosene) and heavy distillates (fuel-oil). Other products such as liquefied petroleum gas (propane, butane) or some lubricating oils (motor oil) are also derived from refining. The AD Energy mainly deals with the calculation of the maximum prices of certain petroleum products on the basis of the programme agreement. It also monitors the quality of petroleum products through the FAPETRO Fund. The collection of oil data is also one of the tasks of the AD Energy (petroleum balance).
