The key indicator assigns each municipality a rating of 1 to 8 based on the number of environmental initiatives that the municipality takes among the following 8 tools:
(1) Drafting a PAEDC (Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan),
(2) Biodiversity grant
(3) River contract,
(4) Presence of an eco-advisor subsidised by the SPW,
(5) Inclusion within a natural park,
(6) Accession to the operation of late mowing of roadsides,
(7) Grant Plantation
(8) Remarkable Haies
Information on whether or not these tools are present is given separately. In addition, information is also given on whether or not a POLLEC grant and a CPDR (Communal Rural Development Plan) are present, as the implementation of these plans can also be considered as an action for the environment.
These various initiatives are all aimed at all Walloon municipalities, provided that they comply with the specifications in relation to the programmes in which they are involved.
