Pre-emption areas, VEN and IVON, 21 June 2016

Areas with right of pre-purchase, Flemish Ecological Network and Integral Connection and Support Network: Overview of the areas in which a pre-emption right has been established pursuant to Article 37(1), (1) and (3) of the Decree of 21 October 1997 on nature conservation and the natural environment (B.S. 10/01/1998). The Flemish Ecological Network (VEN) includes the Great Units of Nature (GEN) and the Great Units Nature in Development (GENO). With the exception of immovable property excluded by the Flemish Government, a Flemish pre-purchase right has been established in the areas of the VEN. The Integrated Connection and Support Network (IVON) comprises the Nature Reconstruction Areas (NVWG) and the Nature Connection Areas (NVBG). The Flemish Government may, within the green and forest areas and the forest extension areas and the destination areas similar to those areas, delimit a perimeter within which a Flemish pre-emption right has been established within the planning plans or spatial implementation plans in force in the spatial planning, which are situated within the IVON.
