Dataset description

The precipitation deficiency is the difference between the precipitation and the potential evapotranspiration (evaporation). This deficiency is determined per day and makes a comparison between the amount of available water (the precipitation) and the daily potential water demand by plants (the potential evapotranspiration). As a result, the indicator can also be used as an approximation to the drought stress in plants.
