Public forests and nature domains managed by ANB on behalf of the Flemish government

The “Public Forests and Nature Domains Managed by Agency for Nature and Forests (ANB)” layer contains the land managed by the Agency. These are: — land acquired, leased or leased by the ANB, — forests of public owners (“public forests”) where as a result of the Forest Decree (Art. 45) the technical management is carried out by the ANB, — properties of Defence for which a cooperation protocol Nature Management has been concluded. Land owned by ANB where third parties have rights in rem (concession, management transfer, lease,...) are not shown in this layer. For the lots where ANB exercises the full management, the contact details of the manager are provided. The land is initially recorded on the basis of the Administrative lots of the land register (version 2019). Where only parts of plots are under management, this is updated on the basis of the most recent aerial view. Non-category land of public property is also registered on the basis of aerial photographs. For distribution, the individual parcels are aggregated (aggregated) based on domain and region. The data is made available to anyone who can use it and are updated monthly.
