Quiet areas in Flanders

This map shows the contours of the recognised areas with quality label silence areas and other acoustically examined silence areas in Flanders. Silence areas are areas with a relatively low acoustic sound level and a pleasant acoustic sound climate. They are assessed on the basis of a number of criteria with acoustic basis such as the maximum noise level, the number of non-area noise events and the percentage of non-area noise observed by a researcher.
