A general practitioner zone is a contiguous geographical area of one or more (parts of) municipalities, which constitutes the area of activity of a general medical profession.The designations and classification of Flanders into general practitioners is determined by the competent Flemish Minister, in implementation of the Decree of 3 March 2004 on primary health care and cooperation between healthcare providers, and the Flemish Government Decree of 26 June 2015 on the general practitioners.A general practitioners’ association is an association which groups general practitioners, which carry out their professional activities within a general practitioner zone.This version of the dataset concerns the ministrical Decree of 20/07/2015 on the Ministry of General Practitions, as amended by the Decree of 12 July 2016 on the general practitioners.
