Renewable EnergieAtlas Flanders — Current energy production wind turbines

This map layer is part of the Renewable EnergieAtlas Flanders. The data comes from the database of urban planning permission requests for wind turbines from the Department of Space Flanders. It selected the licensed wind turbines that have already been built effectively (state of January 2016). For turbines with a power > 300 kW, production is estimated by means of a full load steering card that takes into account the difference in wind speeds throughout Flanders. For small-scale wind turbines (< 300 kW), one Flemish distinguishing number depends on the axle height. We limit ourselves to the wind turbines on land. The results are presented here at the level of the statistical sectors. The figures per municipality can also be found in the attached table.
