Renewable Energy Atlas Flanders — Current heat production from specific biomass streams

This map layer is part of the Renewable Energy Atlas Flanders. This map layer is based on the VREG list of green electricity production plants for biomass, version 3/03/2016. This includes installations that only produce electricity and installations that produce both electricity and heat (or CHP installations). Biomass installations that produce only heat are therefore not part of this map. For the estimation of production, general figures are usually used. However, for larger production facilities and waste incinerators, the maximum was based on actual production figures (e.g. annual reports). Moreover, only the renewable share of production is included in the Energy Atlas. The figures per municipality can also be consulted in the attached table.
