The academic delay is measured in relation to the theoretical age of the study year, and not with respect to learning: a student is said to be “on time” when he or she is at most of the legal schooling age of the year of study in which he or she is “late” when he is older.
The indicator here refers only to delays of two years or more, of pupils enrolled in regular full-time secondary education, organised or subsidised by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and the German-speaking Community. The indicator is available according to the municipality of residence of the student.
