Dataset description

Strategic rail traffic noise map with more than 30 000 train passages per year according to RL 2002/49/EC. The reference year of these dates is 2011. The sound card shall indicate how much noise the environment is exposed to. The noise is expressed in the parameter Lnight. The Lnight level is the average of the noise levels during the night (23-07h) and is one of the sound indicators representative of possible night sleep disturbance. These noise maps are updated every 5 years.
