Dataset description
The area ‘not cultivated’ is calculated per hectare. These cover all types of land cover from the 2013 land use stock (level 1) with the exception of buildings, roads, railways and others. Then the area ‘not cultivated’ per hectare cell is divided by the fraction of space per hectare in order to obtain the area of unbuilt space per hectare. Consequently, this indicator does not provide information on locations that are completely outside the space seizure.
