Ecological network Natura 2000 of the Republic of Croatia — WFS

Spatial database containing data on Natura 2000 sites in the Republic of Croatia. Spatial data consists of 743 polygon conservation areas important for species and habitat types (POVS) and 38 polygon conservation areas relevant for birds (POPs). The State Institute for Nature Protection has prepared a proposal for the NATURA 2000 ecological network for Croatia based on the processing of collected data on the distribution of NATURA 2000 species and habitat types in Croatia and supplemented it in 2015 based on the conclusions of the biogeographical seminar in Croatia. The Natura 2000 ecological network was officially proclaimed by the Organic Network Regulation (NN No 124/2013) and supplemented by the Regulation amending the Ecological Network Regulation (NN105/15). This layer contains the boundaries of Natura 2000 sites and target species and habitats for each Natura 2000 site.
