The aim of this site is to provide information on what invasive alien species are in one place, to give an overview of legal legislation and recommendations for responsible behaviour and prevention of the introduction of alien species into nature. Although the role of the site is primarily information-educational, it is planned to be the basis of a system for timely detection and rapid action to remove and control the further spread of newly introduced species. The site offers an interactive app to report findings of invasive alien species. It is planned to link the site to the Nature Protection Information System, which will enable an interactive overview of data on alien species from the database.
All information on the national and European legislative framework on invasive alien species can be found on the page. Also, scientific and professional papers on alien species in the Republic of Croatia are available on the site. One of the most important objectives of the site is to inform the public about new findings of alien species in the Republic of Croatia, but also about new findings of alien species and measures for their effective management in neighbouring countries and Europe. The findings of invasive alien species can be reported by citizens themselves using the report form available on the site.
