Category 3 Nature Potential Ammonia Sensitive Forest

The GIS theme shows all forests that were digitally registered in 2010 and are larger than ½ ha and are not within an international nature conservation area. The map thus shows all forests regardless of the age of the forest, and regardless of whether the forest contains or does not contain natural forest-indicating species or ancient forest species. In other words, the map does not distinguish between ammonia-sensitive forests and non-ammonia-sensitive forests. The map is used as a basis for the municipality’s examination of whether a forest is ammonia sensitive, and thus the maximum ammonia deposition to the forest must be required in connection with environmental approvals of livestock farms, cf. the Livestock Farming Act (LBK No 256 of 21/03/2017).
