Dataset description

Denmark’s Depth Model (DDM) is a digital model with medium depths covering Denmark’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). The Depth Model can be used for planning and management in the marine area. The Depth Model shall not be used for navigation. The Depth Model has a resolution of 50 meters and is based on a collection of hydrographic measurements and historical sources. Data can be accessed as services or downloaded as GeoTIFF files in the projection Lambert Conformal Conic (LCC)/ETRS89 (EPSG:3034). DDM contains the following layers: ddm_50m.depth — depth values in meters ddm_50m.source — Information about the source of depth data ddm_50m.aar — Information on the year of completion of the survey The service also contains a shadow map where the depths are exaggerated to clarify the shapes of the terrain as well as the layer depth relief, combining depth and shadow maps.
