Dataset description

The model calculations provide a nationwide dataset for the depth of ground water in the period 1/1 1990-31/12 2019 in 100 x 100 metres. And a nationwide dataset for stationary overview of the depth of ground water in the period 1/1 1990-31/12 2019 in 100 x 100 meters. Modelling can be used as boundary conditions for setting up and delimiting both dynamic and stationary local retail models and more detailed analyses in combination with other available data. The depth of ground water is available as daily time series in the period 1/1 1990-31/12 2019 and as a mean value for the whole period. Modelling can be used to assess where it is logical to select the boundary condition or as an input to dynamic or stationary models. There are no model calculations for Læsø, Endelave, Tunø, Samsø, Anholt, Æbleø, Vejrø and Christiansø. The model has been set up and calibrated with a focus on the off-road hydrological conditions, which should therefore be subject to greater uncertainties on model calculations from deeper layers of the DK model. The model has been designed and calibrated with a focus on overall regional conditions and the model calculations can therefore not be expected to be directly applicable to solve local-specific problems. The use of modelling as boundary conditions must always be assessed individually for any task in relation to the nature of the task and what detail and precision are required. Data shall be used in conjunction with other available data. The modelling calculations (from the 100 m DK model) are useful for setting up detailed models when conducting more detailed analyses such as climate adaptation, dimensioning of water infrastructure, design of drainage systems, etc., assessment of flood risk from groundwater and rivers, river and groundwater management. Climate-resilient risk assessment for soil and groundwater contamination. In cities/close settlements, at major transport facilities, in areas close to the coast and complex geological conditions, uncertainty on modelled depth to ground-line groundwater may be greater.
